Youth Entrepreneurship Programme (YEP)


In partnership with Hazile Group, YEP trains youth in critical areas like farming, renewable energy, and water management. We aim to create a new generation of skilled entrepreneurs who will contribute to South Africa's sustainable economic growth.

Women In Farming Entrepreneurship

 

This project empowers women with practical farming and business skills. Women are trained in sustainable farming techniques and business management, enabling them to start their own agricultural enterprises. By gaining these essential skills, participants are equipped to achieve economic independence, support their families, and contribute to local economic development.

Community Care Worker Youth Service Project


This project involves training young people to provide essential community care services, focusing on health, wellbeing, and basic needs in disadvantaged areas. By empowering youth to serve their communities, we strengthen the social fabric and create opportunities for local development.

Women With Purpose (TM) 

This project empowers women with practical farming and business skills. Youth Leadership Training


This ongoing project is designed to foster leadership qualities among young people, helping them transition from passive recipients of aid to active agents of change in their communities.

About us

Basadi Bakopane is a registered non-profit organisation (NPO No. 033-504) founded in 2004 with a vision to empower youth and promote sustainable development across South Africa. We focus on creating pathways for youth to become successful leaders, entrepreneurs, and role models in their communities. Our programmes target vulnerable groups, providing mentorship, skills development, and entrepreneurial training.

We believe in fostering a generation that can break the cycles of poverty and inequality through practical interventions and knowledge-sharing. By empowering young people to lead and thrive, we are contributing to a stronger, more inclusive society

What we do

How we do it

FOUNDED ON THREE PRINCIPLES

 

Basadi Bakopane transforms societies by instilling a vision, making role models, promoting a sense of community and giving young girls and women a voice.


Empowerment 

Our Youth Leadership Training Program (YLTP) transform ‘vulnerable’ young women into leaders in their communities. They become proactive ‘advocates’ for change and ‘owners’ of their challenges. We work with these empowered leaders toward complete development of communities where they come from.

 

Accountability 

We provide project accounts and activity reports at periodic intervals throughout each project. At our closing stage, we provide a final financial accountability report that identifies where and how the funds were used. During this stage, we also provide a post impact analysis report, which evaluates the impact of our guidance in the established project area to determine its effectiveness. This allows us to identify improvements needed to strengthen future projects.

 

Sustainability 

Our empowered community leaders continue to be torchbearers for their community long after project timelines are over making our impact sustainable.
